![]() My closest buddy and I have never been to Oak and Embers Steakhouse, but have been wanting to go My best buddy and I have been wanting to try Oak and Embers Steakhouse for some time. We have enjoyed some of the other restaurants, but this one was not a great experience, and we would not go back. He came back later and said the computer made an error and reduced the charges. We informed him that none of the other restaurants charge that much and also restaurants in New York City. When we got the bill, there was a charge for our Manhattans which were four for $96! When we spoke to the manager, he said it was because it was a 3 ounce pour. They also gave me a complimentary chocolate martini, which was nice. By the time I got my steak back my husband and brother were finished so they removed the charge for the steak from our bill which was not necessary. But he said the rice underneath, the risotto was very spicy unbeknownst to him. My brother said he could make better pea soup. I ordered the ribeye with the bone special. I ordered the wedge and my husband ordered the lobster bisque. We have been to all the Kyle G’s except in Stuart. My brother, my husband and I came here for dinner. We added an additional tip because Rob was so good! More There is a card on the table explaining the service charge. In addition to the cost of the meal, they add a service charge of 16% for the server. This restaurant is excellent in every way, but excellence is expensive. We were all full! When you go to the Oak and Ember it is best to make a reservation. One of our tables mates had a bacon wrap filet served with potatoes, the other had a Wagyu hamburger with Havarti cheese and fries. sirloin served with 5 shrimp and mashed potatoes. My wife and I had the same main course, a 10 oz. My wife had a bowl of gazpacho, it was served cold as it should be. I started with a bowl of split pea soup that had little pieces of smoked ham in it. He was able to answer every question we asked, and there were quite. This was our first time visiting this restaurant, it won't be our last. Unfortunately we would not go back or recommend. Overall the service was very slow, there was no hint of apology for the poor experience, and when we did question a drink that was made incorrectly our waitress immediately snapped back about the drink. The sides were lacking and the glasses for our cold drinks were clearly warm out of the dishwasher. When our food did come only 3/4 people’s meals came and we didn’t receive the final entree or multiple sides for another 5 minutes as the rest of our food got cold waiting. When we finally ordered they were out of menu items we were looking forward to and the table next to us was already receiving their food (even though they sat after us). We sat outside where there were no heaters, weren’t greeted for over 10 minutes after sitting at the table, our waters were only half filled and we didn’t receive the drinks we ordered for another 15 minutes. ![]() 830 we checked in again since we hadn’t received an update and were brought to our table 5 minutes later (20 mins after reservation time). We arrived at 805 and were told it would just be “a minute”. We had an 815 reservation on NYE, it was super busy and we understood things may be a bit behind but right from the get go things did not go well.
